The third album from this band from Norway.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, electronics and vocals.
A guest added female vocals on a couple of tracks.
I have been following this band with some interest since their debut album was released some years ago.
This album is a Bandcamp name your price album too and easy available.
The music is very varied and cover a lot of bases during these forty-five minutes. Some of the music is very hard with lots of death metal like guitar riffs. Other parts has got some psalms and gentle folk music influences.
The album is a fight between darkness and light. It ebbs and flows. Just like the whole idea of music in the post-rock genre.
The result is a good album indeed and an obligatory download. It is an album that will surprise a lot of people and serve as a gateway to the post-rock genre for those yet unfamiliar with this genre.
