Mongol - Doppler 444 (1997)

The one and only album from this band from Japan.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano and keyboards.

This band is mostly totally unknown. But the hard working staff in ProgArchives has included the band and this album in the archives. Hence, it caught my attention.

The music on this album is fusion with some jazz influences.

Most of this music is cinematic and pretty slick. So slick that it could have been a movie or TV soundtrack.

There are some good guitars solos in this rather slick and stylish music. There are also some typical soundtrack stuff here too.

The music is decent enough. It really does not leave the listener's brain much to work on.

Slick, stylish but without a lot of quality. Hence my not so positive views on this album.
