King's X - Three Sides of One (2022)

The 13th album from this band from USA.

The band was a trio on this album with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, programming and vocals.

This is their comeback album after a fifteen years long break. I have noticed that the comeback is still on as the band is now touring USA, medium to small venues.

It is a crying shame that their first four albums did not break the band and made them into a multi-million albums selling band. And it is so unfair too. That would have changed their history and the albums they released after 1995 and to this date.

This album is almost fifty minutes long and it sees the band visit old grounds. That is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Old sins is being repeated too many times here.

There are also some very good stuff on this album. An album which also sees the band developing their sound and values from the early 1990s. The Beatles is a good influence and they are back on this album.

This album feels a lot different from their other albums. The reason may be that the band has grown up. The anger and bitterness is mainly gone. The music is hard rock, but not so bitter and twisted as before. There are space for some warmth and happiness here too.

The result is a good album from a one of the best cult bands in today's scene. This band is on my top ten list of favourite bands.
