The seventh album from this band from The Netherlands.
The band was an eight piece big band/project with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards, synths, programming and vocals.
One guest added vocals on one track.
This is a band I only became aware of when they released their fifth album, the 2022 album Sygn Yn. I gave it a decent to good rating in my March 2022 review in this blog.
Their sixth album, the 2023 album Contemporary Vintage, was a re-recording of older songs and I bypassed that album. I should really also review their first four albums and I may do that in a later edition of this blog.
The music here is a mix of neo-prog and heavy prog. There is indeed some prog metal influences here too.
The vocals are a mix of male and female vocals. The guitars are pretty much chugging and riff based.
The music here is bold and heavy. There is a lot of instruments and vocals layered on the top of each others. That gives the music an almost opera feeling. Rock opera.
Half of this one hour long album is good and the rest is decent enough. I have yet to be won over by an album from this band. Maybe their first four albums will change that.....
