Moria Falls - The Long Goodbye (1995)

The debut album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, flute and vocals.

Two guests added background vocals.

This band released two albums between 1995 and 1998 before they gave up the ghost. Martin Orford was a member of the band and Clive Nolan added his vocals on some songs.

I have never heard about the band before I by pure accident/luck found the band in ProgArchives and their album on Youtube a couple of months ago. The neo-prog label made me go for it. Hence this review.

There is some obscure neo-prog albums around who deserve to get some more attention.

The Long Goodbye is one hour with classic neo-prog. There is a lot of Genesis here and the music is really melodic. The musicians also does a very good job here and adds a lot of spicy, interesting details here.

The quality could have been better. Nevertheless, this is a good neo-prog album and one fans of this genre must check out.
