Beggars Opera - Lifeline (1980)

The seventh album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The band had moved on since their symphonic prog rock days.

Each album was a bigger and bigger departure from their roots.

Lifeline sees them as both a heavy metal band and a commercial rock band.

The band could not really decide if they were a rock band or a heavy metal band. This album is therefore more a compromise than anything else.

The music is pretty horrendous and not even worth their name.

This is their last album before they split up and took a long break. A wise move. Releasing this turkey was not a wise move.
