The debut album from this band from Germany.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
These three musicians released around eight albums. This as either Fuhrs & Frohling or Schicke, Fuhrs & Frohling.
I have reviewed their second album Sunburst years ago and the 1978 Fuhrs & Frohling album Ammerland three months ago. I now intend to review the four remaining Fuhrs & Frohling and Schicke, Fuhrs & Frohling albums from my collection.
Symphonic Pictures is almost forty minutes worth of a mix of neo-classical music, symphonic prog and space rock.
Eloy springs to mind as a reference. ELP is a more faint, remote reference. But it is there.
The music is pretty baroque and bold. Epic too.
The music is indeed good throughout this album and it has some really tasty, good themes.
This is an album well worth checking out from three undervalued musicians.
