The debut album from this band from Brazil.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, ukulele, flute, trumpet and vocals.
This band has released five albums and I am reviewing them all this year....
... Starting with this, their debut album.
I was looking forward to sinking my teeth into this album as eclectic prog is a genre I really like.
But eclectic also means downright weird and unhinged.
The music on this album is all over the place from folk rock, avant-garde, death metal, sanson, punk and salsa.
There is a punk attitude throughout this album. Post-punk, that is.
The music is too unhinged and too much all over the place to really enjoy this.
The quality is not good at all. It is barely a decent album and it is only saved by some decent pieces of music. It is still not a good start on this adventure.
