Self Portrait - Fishes were Everywhere (2024)

The debut album from this band from Italy.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organs, synths and vocals.

This is a new band from Parma in Italy.

Their band name and their choice of language, which is not Italian, gives us the impression that they are not an RPI band. That is partly a wrong impression.

The music on this almost fifty minutes long album is a mix of psyc rock and RPI - Rock Progressive Italiano.

The sound and their take on both psych rock and RPI is rooted in the 1970s scene. The sound is pretty contemporary....but the music is rooted in the early 1970s Italian scene.

The music is light and fluffy. The songs are not particular long. The vocals are good and ditto for the organs.

The quality is pretty good and this album is an album psych rock fans should check out. I hope we will hear a lot more from this band in the future.
