The debut album from this band from Norway.
The band was an eight piece big band with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, viola, violin and vocals.
This band has so far released two albums. There are rumours of a third album later this year. I got their second album too and will review it next week.
Meer is a progressive rock band. Their music is a mix of art-rock, art-pop and progressive rock.
The music is both melodic and elegant with lots of female and male harmonies. The viola, violin and guitars also adds a lot of harmonies to the pretty pastoral, melodic music.
The music is not hard, let me put it like that.
What is missing is some more good songs on this fifty minutes long album. Half of this album is decent.... the rest is good.
This is a more than acceptable debut album and I am glad that the band was signed on Karisma Records for their second album. A smart signing.
