The 10th album from this band from Chile.
The band was a nine piece big band on this album with a lineup of percussion, drums, marimbas, congas, bass, guitars, cello, charango, woodwinds, tarka, flute, piano, synths and vocals.
The band was helped by a handful of guests who provided congas, percussion, narration, voices and vocals.
The band was still going strong and were very active in the scene.
The scene was by now very colourful with some very good bands.
Congreso went down the crossover route. A crossover between folk rock, fusion, prog rock and pop music.
The music is pretty melodic, exotic and cool. The Spanish vocals and the Latin-American vibe makes this an interesting album who really gets the attention of those who are not used to this music.
The quality is also good and this album is a good introduction to both this band and the Latin - American prog/folk/jazz scene.
Check it out.
