The 12th album from this band from Norway.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, bass pedals, guitars, organ, keyboards, synths and vocals.
A guest supplied bass pedals and percussion.
Enslaved had by now established their own universe. An universe noone else was anywhere near able to replicate.
The sound is organic. It is also very, very brutal. This is progressive rock meets extreme metal.
The mix of extreme black and death metal vocals with clear vocals is very good and creates it's own dynamic world.
The music is pretty epic. It is both warm pastoral and very brutal.
The result is another good and another interesting album from this band. It is also a fascinating album.
Enslaved never really disappoints.
