Undertakers Circus - Ragnarock (1973)

The debut album from this band from Norway.

The band was a ten piece big band with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, congas, woodwinds and vocals.

Some guests added their saxophones, piano, congas and flutes.

This band released two albums before they gave up the ghost. Both albums has just been re-released on CD if my memories serves me right.

The main genre here is brass rock. The band has numerous brass players. The result is obvious. A good, a very good reference is Blood, Sweat & Tears.

The band is also dabbling with hard rock, rockabilly and rock on this album.

The vocals are good throughout.

The quality is not particular good and this is an album prog rock fans can safely bypass.

This is a half decent album but nothing more than that. I think I will bypass their second album altogether.
