Enid. The - U (2019)

The 24th and so far latest album from this band from England.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Robert John Godfrey has returned to the band after a one album long break.

Returned has their good old brand of music too. To my knowledge, this is all original music.

That means forty minutes of music somewhere between neo-classical music and symphonic prog.

This mixture is really eclectic. But this mixture really put the band on the map some fifty years ago. The circle is complete.

The music on this album is both good and everything I want to remember this band for.

There are some really good ideas here and the melodies is both inspiring and memorable.

The Enid is and was a strange entity in the progressive rock scene. If this is their final album, they are leaving the scene on good terms and with one of their better albums.
