The seventh album from this band from England.
The band is a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
The music on this album is a mix of progressive metal, a bit operatic prog, a bit of pastoral prog and some more pop rock elements.
The music is bombastic and pretty complex. Haken has found their own style and niche in the market. Hence their popularity and status as one of the biggest and best progressive metal bands on this planet at the moment.
Haken is slightly threading water on this album. They are delivering the goods and the music is very good. There is no developments here and the band is happy within their own skin and formula.
The vocals is some of the best in the scene. Ditto for the vocal harmonies and backing vocals. The guitars are very good.
The result is a very good album and it will really please all fans of Haken and progressive metal. Even a reviewer who normally does not like progressive metal really likes this album.
