Electric Moon - Stardust Rituals (2017)

The fifth album from this band from Germany.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, sitar, organ, electric piano, mellotron and voices.

This is so far the final album from this band. My guess we will never hear anything more from this band as the Sula Bassana project is the main occupation for the musicians here. A band/project I will probably cover in # 4 of this blog.

Their 2011 album The Doomsday Machine was a return to form again after their rather dubious Inferno album from the same year.

The band seems to have maintained their form even after this six years long break.

We get sitar dominated outer space rock here. There is some piano and mellotron here too in the cascades of bass, drums, guitars and sitar.

The music is both melodic and slightly quirky. There is a lot of interesting details here too. It clocks in at forty-five minutes and does not have much surplus fat... if any.

The result is a good album and one space rock fans should check out. Electric Moon's albums is albums space rock fans should both check out and included in their collection.
