Værbitt - Tid (2016)

The debut album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band released two albums through Bandcamp. I will review the second album next week in this blog.

This album has three tracks. All three tracks are twenty minutes or more long. Altogether, we get sixty-six minutes of music.

The music is also post-black metal. Enslaved is a good reference although Enslaved was never really a black metal band.

The tracks are epic and bold. The music is also very fast with a lot of blast beats. Some guitar harmonies are on the top of that again.... and then we get the normal black metal screams, also described as vocals.

The soundscape is more barren than flowering. It reminds me about the highlands in Norway. The cover art is therefore spot on and describes the music very good.

There is not much variations here. It has some good details scattered around but the music tends to be very samey throughout this one hour and six minutes.

This is a decent enough album but just that.

Check out their Bandcamp page if you like post-metal.
