Grand Funk Railroad - Grand Funk Lives (1981)

The 12th studio album from this band from USA.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards and vocals.

The band split up after the previous album and then re-united again on this album. This with a new keyboard player and bassist.

The return of the band saw the band a bit lighter and not so hard rocking as before. The vocals are good and the new members does an acceptable job.

The music is middle of the road US pop/rock.

A cover version of a well known song as We Gotta Get Out Of This Place feels a bit out of place here.

The songs are all fairly decent. This though is their worst album of these twelve albums and you can feel the end is near. The next album is the end. This is not an album doing the band's good name and reputation any service.
