Embryo - Zack Glück (1984)

The 12th album from this German band.

The band was a seven piece big band on this album with a lineup of percussion, hackbrett, cymbalon, marimba, tavil, drums, vibes, oud, guitars, violin, saxes, flutes and vocals.

Embryo tended to change genre and styles between each studio albums. The reason was that Embryo was mostly a one-man band and he wanted to explore a lot of different genres.

That also explain why some Embryo albums is a bit difficult to really understand.

Some Embryo albums is also pretty substandard.

This album is a study in some Indian instruments, merged with some Western, krautrock music.

This album is mostly based on rhythms and Eastern soundscapes.

The quality is decent enough but nothing more than that. I have heard far better Embryo album than this one.
