Electric Moon - The Doomsday Machine (2011)

The fourth album from this band from Germany.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass and guitars.

A guest did the drums on a couple of tracks.

This is their second and final 2011 album. I was not particular impressed by their Inferno album from earlier that year. Hence....

.. I did not have any expectations for their second album that year. In particular about an eighty minutes long album as this one... The Doomsday Machine.

That is eighty minutes of improvised outer space rock with a fuzzy garage rock sound. Just what the doctor warned you against...

The first half of this album is as dull as Inferno was. Then.... the music get some melodic guitar solos infused into this fuzzy, muddy music. Some very good melodies, indeed.

The final half of this album is the best thing this band has ever done. This when I was about to give up on this band....

The end result is a fairly good album which will make space rock fans happy. The final half of the album will make space rock fans happy, that is.

Check out this album.
