Moonshine Blast - Realm of Possibilities (2025)

The second album from this band from France.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards and vocals.

Two guests added drums and bass.

The band returned again after some years of silence.

I was not particular impressed by their 2018 debut album Reality Fear. In my review from May 2018 in # 2 of this blog, I noted it was a too poppy album and not so rich in details and substance.

Realm Of Possibilities is a seventy-five minutes long album.

The music is a lot harder and more complex this time around. It is very much in the heavy prog genre with some Muse and Porcupine Tree influences.

There is still some poppy elements here and some simplified music. I guess this is the new take on progressive rock, the new wave of progressive rock.

The vocals is very good and the band does a good job on this rather heavy rocking album.

This is indeed a good album and a significant improvement on their debut album.
