Solaris - Misty Morning (1977)

The one and only album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This was an obscure band from the north of Norway. It was lead by Ole G Nilssen who had previously released his solo album World Of Dreams. An album I have reviewed in this blog last month... or in November last year.

Both of these two albums has been re-released on CDs now and has got some more attention.

I had really been looking forward to reviewing this album as I had been told it was a symphonic prog album.

Well, it is not.

Take a bit proto-symphonic prog, add some west coast rock, psych rock and some AOR. Add some beat too and you get this album

The music sounds dated and has some weird choirs and guitars.

The music is decent enough. But not enough to really excite me. This album deserved the CD re-release but that is just about it.
