The third album from this US band.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, banjo, oud, keyboards, melodica, harpsichord, piano, organ and sampler.
Three guests added horn, harmonica, violin and trumpet.
This is a band whose albums I find difficult to really review as the music is pretty far from my comfort zone.
But I am cracking on with their albums. All of them, bar one who I reviewed ten years ago for ProgArchives.
This time, we get some ambient music with a lot of Americana influences.
The fifty minutes long album starts pretty dull and nondescript before it takes of and become a lot better at the end with the rather fairly good title-track.
There is even some very heavy music here which is still within the post-metal genre. But the title track is the only fairly good track.
This is a decent enough album with some positives and some negatives. Hence.....
