Spinetta Jade - Los Niños Que Escriben En El Cielo (1981)

The second album from this band from Argentina.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, electric piano, mini-moog, moog, organ, synths and vocals.

This band, lead by Luis Alberto Spinetta, released four albums in the early 1980s before they gave up and were disbanded. I got the four albums up for review this summer.

I quite liked their debut album. An album full of vocals driven laid back jazz with a lot of soul and fusion influences.

Spinetta Jade, lead by the vocalist and guitarist Luis Alberto Spinetta, continues down the same path on this album. There is not much difference between these two albums.

The softly delivered vocals are again in Spanish and they are good. There is a lot of Latin-American flavour in their music too.

The quality is somewhere between decent and good. This is an album for the fans of Latin-American rock and fusion.
